Painting hope

Paintings for Pediatrics was born out of a father’s gratitude and built on a promise to never take the gift of healthy children for granted. When our founder, Craig Sorbo, looked at his kids, he saw more than just smiles and laughter. He saw what too many families lose far too soon, moments that are stolen by the diagnosis of pediatric cancer. That realization lit a fire in him, and that spark became Paintings for Pediatrics: a movement rooted in compassion, connection, and creativity. At our core, we are a volunteer-run nonprofit that partners with young pediatric cancer patients to turn their pain into purpose. Through the powerful tool of art therapy, we help children express what words often cannot – fear, courage, resilience, and hope. These young artists pour their stories onto canvas, and those paintings help raise life-saving funds for research and support services for families navigating the unimaginable.
